Road Safety Initiatives by Uyarvullal Social Work Foundation
Road safety remains a critical issue in India, with accidents being a leading cause of death, especially among individuals aged 18 to 40. In Tamil Nadu, 2023 witnessed a rise in road accidents and fatalities, with two-wheelers accounting for the highest casualties due to overspeeding, aggressive driving, mobile phone usage, and lack of helmet compliance.
Uyarvullal Social Work Foundation is dedicated to promoting road safety through awareness programs, education, and advocacy. We collaborate with local authorities, schools, and communities to address key risk factors, encourage responsible road behavior, and reduce accidents. Our activity report highlights recent initiatives aimed at fostering safer roads for all.
